How to delete your account and data
ChartBuddy does not require an account, so there is nothing to deactivate. Everything you do inside the app is stored locally on your device. To erase it, you have two paths:
From inside the app (recommended, takes 5 seconds)
- Open ChartBuddy on your phone.
- Tap the menu icon at the top-left, then Settings.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap “Delete all my data” and confirm twice when prompted.
This permanently erases your progress, streaks, saved topics, quiz scores, and settings from the device. The app resets and walks you through onboarding again.
By email (if you no longer have the app installed)
If you have uninstalled ChartBuddy and want confirmation that no data of yours is held anywhere, email support@chartbuddy.cowith the subject “Delete my data”. We will reply within 7 working days confirming the status. Because the app is fully local, uninstalling already removes every piece of progress data we ever had access to.
What about my one-time purchase?
Your ChartBuddy Pro purchase is held by Apple or Google, not by us. We never see your payment details. If you want to request a refund or have the purchase record removed, follow Apple's or Google's own process:
- iOS: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Android: Google Play purchase history, tap “Request a refund”.
Third-party data (RevenueCat, Meta)
ChartBuddy uses RevenueCat to verify your one-time purchase and Meta SDK to measure ad-campaign effectiveness. Both receive only anonymous app-scoped device identifiers, with no name, email, or personal information attached. To request deletion of any records they hold tied to your device, email support@chartbuddy.co and we will action the request on your behalf within 7 working days. Common questions
I bought Pro on my old phone. How do I unlock it on my new phone?
Open ChartBuddy on your new phone, go to Settings, and tap “Restore Purchases”. Your unlock will be reattached automatically as long as you are signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account that made the original purchase.
I want a refund.
Refund requests are handled directly by Apple or Google, not by us. On iOS, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, go to your Google Play purchase history and tap “Request a refund”.
My progress disappeared after I reinstalled the app.
ChartBuddy stores progress locally on your device. Uninstalling the app clears that local data. Your Pro unlock comes back via Restore Purchases, but XP, streaks, and saved topics are reset. We're evaluating optional cloud sync for a future release.
